The air is tense. While folks are glad that the Mage Guild fight is over, and that the war will soon be declared over, new dangers lurk on the horizon. If there was ever to be an example of requiring a trained eye on Ritual Magic… that was it.
None the less, what has been done is done, and locals fear the worst. Halloween the peasantry was hit hard with undead, the adventurers hit hard from the mages guild, and the world hit hard by a missing portal stone. Folks begin to stock pile their resources in preparation for the end of the world, while others call such fear mongering malarkey. Either way, danger is brewing.
Folks are also getting increasingly frustrated by the unstable market. The Thieves Guild seems to be doing quite a number to the value of Bismuth, it taking a hit and going back to being valued only 1 silver. Seems the time when the guards and adventurers were stuck behind a ward finally paid it’s toll.
Thankfully, during such times of darkness and penny pinching, there is a bastion of happiness, fun and pleasure for locals to flock to, have a drink and a friend: The Bacchan Commune. Word has it, a grand party is to be held on the 23rd! Due to Calypso’s aid to the Barony recently, she was able to bargain a night where no guards will patrol the Commune! In fact, any guard present must be off duty!
Of course, no major crimes are allowed, and the full extent of the law will come down upon those who abuse this opportunity, but the Commune has been given a nod to completely indulge without fear in any booze, hallucinogens, or Euphorias that their bodies can handle. While this cannot be forced on others, thankfully most don’t want to share, anyway.
So come one, come all to a party of the ages!
((OOG: The event will be taking place at the COMMUNE in game! Any PC guards are allowed to be off duty that evening as thanks for their hard work recently.))
