The unrelenting darkness has retreated with the onset of spring, driven back by farmers and warriors alike. The hordes of undead, so long threatening the very existence of those living, have been defeated. As people emerge from their shelters, battered yet triumphant, they discover a land broken, but filled with hope in the promise of summer.
